January 25, 2022 — In the past 24 hours, Croatia National Headquarters reported 8,471 new COVID-19 cases (46% tested positive by PCR tests) and 58,866 active cases. They also reported 8,221 positive rapid antigen (BAT) tests. Fifty-one (51) have died and there are 39,228 people in self-isolation. Over the past 14 days, they have reported a total of 112,223 new cases.

Croatia COVID-19 Vaccination
Vaccines are being offered to citizens and residents at some vaccination centers without having to obtain a physician referral or make an appointment. Some vaccination centers offer vaccines to non-residents and tourists, but it is best to verify in advance.
Other vaccination centers and all pharmacy locations require an appointment. While vaccinations are being offered in Croatia free of charge, quantities may be limited. Non-residents and tourists should contact vaccination centers in advance to verify availability.

Croatia National Headquarters Restrictions
Bars, night clubs, discos, restaurants and cafes may serve guests on open terraces and indoors according to the guidelines from the Civil Protection Headquarters. Stores and businesses must adhere to specified capacities.
The number of spectators at sports competitions is limited. For indoor events, a maximum of 20 percent of each section may be filled. For outdoor events, up to 40 percent of each section may be filled.
IMPORTANT: Holders of valid EU Digital COVID Certificates are allowed to do the following:
- Attend indoor public events and gatherings with up to 100 people (must wear masks).
- Attend outdoor public events and gatherings with up to 200 people with permission from the county headquarters.
- Attend public events and gatherings which must end at midnight, except for cinema screenings, which must end at 2:00 CET.
- Attend weddings, which must end at 2:00 CET.
- Attend private events with up to 50 people.
- Attend indoor sports events and competitions (must wear masks).
- Attend outdoor sports events and competitions (masks not required).
- Enter hospitals, clinics, and other health care centers (non-emergencies).

Masks Required Indoors and Public Spaces Where Social Distancing Not Possible
Non-wearing or improper wearing of masks where they are mandatory will be punished with a 500 HRK fine (66 EUR).
Masks must be worn indoors and are mandatory in open public places where there is increased risk of virus transmission -- where it is not possible to maintain a meter and a half distance. These circumstances include waiting in lines, riding in elevators and at public transport stops.
The use of masks is mandatory regardless of the possession of covid-certificates at religious and artistic programs, film screenings and exhibitions, and sessions of representative bodies.
