September 1, 2021 — The Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia has made a Decision on the manner of organizing public transport of passengers in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 disease.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 disease, public transport service providers are obliged to organize public transport in accordance with this Decision and general and special recommendations and instructions published by the Croatian Institute of Public Health on its website.
Drivers, other employees in public transport vehicles and passengers in public transport are obliged to use medical masks or face masks in the correct manner during their stay in the vehicle and to adhere to general anti-epidemic measures and special recommendations and instructions of the Croatian Institute of Public Health. relate to driving on public transport.
A public transport service provider may not allow a passenger who does not have a medical mask or face mask to enter the means of transport, ie the driver must not start driving if there are passengers in the means of transport without a medical mask or face mask.
The control of the implementation of this Decision will be carried out by inspectors of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, inspectors of the Directorate of Civil Protection, inspectors of the State Inspectorate and police officers.
