Croatia COVID-19 Summary of Past 48 Hours
- The Civil Protection Headquarters has announced a reversal of the closure of fitness centers in Split. They will be allowed to operate provided that they follow the prescribed safety measures.
- New safety measures are in effect today in Varaždin, Brod-Posavina, Dubrovnik-Neretva, Šibenik-Knin and Virovitica-Podravina counties.
- Twenty countries have placed all or part of Croatia on their red and orange travel lists which means travelers or returnees from Croatia are subject to a recommended (Orange) or compulsory quarantine or negative PCR test. More information below.
- Conditions for entry from third countries extended to September 15. A negative PCR test no older than 48 hours or testing plus self-isolation upon arrival. More here.

Announcement: As of today, the National Headquarters of the Central Committee approved a decision which limits the number of people at wedding ceremonies and funerals to a maximum of 50 people. Private ceremonies, celebrations and indoor social and public gatherings are limited to 20 people. Sports competitions may be held without spectators. Also, organizers of social gatherings and owners of catering facilities are responsible for the implementation and compliance with epidemiological measures.

COVID-19 Case Breakdown: from Čepin, Marijanci and Viškovci.
Unfortunately, one infected person passed away yesterday (a man from Osijek, born in 1949, in addition to being infected with COVID-19, had other chronic diseases).
Osijek-Baranja County civil protection inspectors carried out inspections over the weekend, especially at weddings, nightclubs, petrol stations and shops. During 78 inspections, irregularities were noticed at 11 locations. Most often they are: not wearing masks, not respecting the maximum number of people allowed in a facility and remaining open after midnight. Warnings have been issued for these irregularities.

Annoucements: “As of today, we will begin working in two shifts,” reported Zvonimir Šostar, Head of Andrija Štampar Clinic for Infectious Diseases. One shift is still in self-isolation, so they are being helped by microbiologists from other institutions.

Croatia on Red and Orange Travel Lists
The following countries have placed Croatia on their COVID-19 red lists which means that a negative PCR test and/or a 14-day quarantine is required upon entry. Countries which have placed Croatia on their orange lists are not recommending travel to Croatia.
Hungary is barring entry from foreign countries effective September 1, except for transit. Poland has barred all flights to and from Croatia effective September 2.
