Croatia: COVID-19 Summary of Past 24 Hours
COVID-19 re-entered the Split hospital. A total of nine employees of KBC Split were infected – five doctors and four nurses. They have mild symptoms and are most were likely infected outside of work. The whole ward is not infected, but one person is.
At the proposal of the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Split-Dalmatia County, as well as the Civil Protection Headquarters of the City of Imotski and the municipalities of Cista Provo, Lovreć, Lokvičići, Podbablje, Proložac, Runovići, Zagvozd and Zmijavci, necessary epidemiological measures are introduced for their area, which will last for 14 days and take effect on Monday ..
The epidemiological measures are:
– Wedding ceremonies can be attended by a maximum of 50 people.
– Other private ceremonies and celebrations can be organized only with families and can be attended by a maximum of 20 people.
– Catering facilities from the group of bars and bistro restaurants can serve guests only in open areas (terraces, etc.).
– A funeral can be attended by a maximum of 50 people, and condolences to the bereaved should not be expressed by close contact.
– Family farms that provide catering services may not receive groups of more than 20 people.
The National Civil Protection Headquarters also decided that limiting the working hours of catering facilities in the category of bars (night club, night bar, disco bar, coffee bar, etc.), which was in force for 10 days since August 14, will be extended until September 7. These catering facilities may be open until midnight.

Case Breakdown: Two men and one woman from Dubrovnik. An epidemiological link is being established for one man, while the other COVID-19 cases are contacts are previously known cases.
One man from Metković and a woman from the Dubrovnik Parish are also contacts of infected people, while an epidemiological link is being established for one foreign citizen who is currently in Cavtat (Konavle). One person from Ploče has recovered.
In the last 24 hours no self-isolation violations have been confirmed Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 60 cases of self-isolation violations have been reported.

Case Breakdown: A young girl, who has mild COVID-19 symptoms, became infected during summer vacation. A middle-aged man with mild symptoms was already in self-isolation, and mentioned a group gathering last week as the possible source of infection. The third infected person is a middle-aged man with mild symptoms. He is a health care worker and his source of infection is unknown. All three people are being treated at home.

Case Breakdown: 10 new COVID-19 patients have a negative epidemiological history, 18 are contacts of previously positive people, and 12 may have been exposed in nightclubs and cafes during vacation.
Nine (9) people are undergoing epidemiological treatment, and 2 people came from Bosnia and Herzegovina and 2 from Serbia. All tested residents and employees of homes for the elderly and infirm in the Zagreb are negative for COVID-19.

Case Breakdown: Two new COVID-19 cases each from Đakovo, Čepin and Ernestinovo, one each from Osijek, Valpovo, Našice, Satnica Đakovačka and Đurđenovac.
Inspectors and civil servants conducted two inspections at wedding ceremonies and one nightclub operation on the evening of 22/23 August, and issued a verbal warning for violating safety measures for operating catering facilities.

Case Breakdown: The new COVID-19 cases are the contacts of infected people, who were previously placed in self-isolation and people returning from vacations in Dalmatia.

8:55 – A huge column on the Austrian border, people are waiting for 1 p.m.
A huge column was formed in front of the Karavanke tunnel on the Slovenian side of the border with Austria, and the crossing of the border is expected at 1 p.m. Many Croatian citizens are also stuck at the border.
