Case Breakdown: Two men and one woman from Dubrovnik. One man and one woman are contacts of infected people. Two women from Ston are also positive for COVID-19.
Three men from Metković, two of whom were likely infected outside the county, and one woman from Zagreb who is currently residing in Dubrovnik and was in contact with a known case. Also, 3 people recovered, one each from Korčula, Ploče and Dubrovnik.
In the last 24 hours no self-isolation violations have been reported. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 57 cases of self-isolation violations have been identified.

Case Breakdown: High school girl and a young woman. Both have mild symptoms and are being treated at home.
13:01 – “In Split, most of the new cases are related to night clubs and young people socializing. In Imotski, they are connected to young people, baptisms and weddings. We don’t have data from the gathering in Sinj yet. It’s too early. We asked people who were infected from Sinj if they had been to Alka and two said they were,” Karin confirmed.
13:00 – Lawyer Lozica for Index: Yes, I am infected and am in self-isolation.
“Yes, I have a COVID-19 and am in self-isolation,” lawyer Pero Lozica confirmed in an interview with Index. Lozica claims he became infected four days after a birthday party which was on August 6.
“I am responsible. The birthday party and the way I got infected are not connected,” Lozica told Index.
Singer Nina Badrić posted a photo on her Instagram this weekend. She is posing with Minister of Health Vilija Beroš and his wife. On August 6, Badrić sang at a birthday party for Pero Lozica, a former water polo player and entrepreneur, at his beach bar Moro on the island of Stupa, across from Korčula. Minister Beroš said in a statement for Index that Nina Badrić was not detected as a contact, that she is not in self-isolation and that he believed that he was not personally endangered.
12:41 – “It is possible that we will have a new record today. But that is expected. Thirty-five percent are contacts and are already in self-isolation. Twenty-five percent are related to nightclubs,” Vili Beros explained.

Case Breakdown: 9 are men and 6 are women and they are mostly young people. Nine people had been in contact with infected people and were in self-isolation, 5 people returned from vacation, and one person is asymptomatic. Ten (10) people are from Karlovac, 2 from Ribnik and 3 from Rakovica.
The county received information that a second COVID-19 test for a child who went abroad for surgery was negative. The original test was false positive.
Yesterday Inspections Report: 5 restaurants, 2 bakeries, 1 shop, 1 bank. Two verbal warnings were issued (for 1 restaurant and 1 bakery).

Case Breakdown: Twenty-two new cases have residence in Šibenik-Knin County: Šibenik 11, Knin 4, Vodice 3, Bilice 2, and 1 person each in Pirovac and Drniš.
Two new patients are staying in the county, but their residence is in Zagreb. Most of the new patients are contacts of patients and were already in self-isolation.
There are currently 408 people under health surveillance and self-isolation measures: 403 people are contacts of patients; 5 contacted the epidemiologist after they entered Croatia from third countries.
12:14 – “The number will be big today,” Krunoslav Capak told N1 . “Most are in Zagreb, where people have returned from vacations. There are still 120 hospitalized, which is a good number,” he added. “Tourism continues, and there are still 700,000 to 800,000 people on the coast, and our indicators suggest about 5 million people in the country,” he added.

Case Breakdown: Zadar (12) and one case each in Biograd, Pag, Nin, Stankovci and Sv. Filip i Jakov, while locations are being confirmed for three people.
11:39 – Šibenik.in reports that there is an unusually large crowd in front of the tent for COVID-19 tests today. Most are foreign nationals who must return to their countries with a negative COVID-19 test.

Case Breakdown: Most (10) new patients reside in Osijek, three are from Đakovo, and one each in Našice and Beli Manastir. More than 60 people took the test at their own request at the Osijek Clinical Hospital. They covered the cost of testing out-of-pocket.
The police did not receive any reports from citizens about self-isolation violations, and in 35 self-initiated checks, everyone was found at their reported addresses.
Yesterday, inspectors conducted 28 preventive and advisory inspections for compliance with COVID-19 measures in shops, stores, restaurants, bakeries and other facilities. They issued two verbal warnings for the identified irregularities (not wearing protective masks and gloves).

One of the new patients returned from vacation, the County Civil Headquarters reported. Krapina-Zagorje County currently has 10 patients per 100,000 inhabitants, while the Croatian average is 33, said Gordana Popijač Cesar, an epidemiologist from the Public Health Institute of Krapina-Zagorje County.

Twenty-six (26) are contacts of infected people, while the other newly infected persons are being epidemiologically treated.
11:10 – Index readers from Zadar are complaining that they had to wait in the heat to get tested, despite the fact that they had a referrals and appointments. In Ravnica at 10:30, where tests are administered, the mobile ambulance was empty. People had to wait in 30 degree heat for someone to finally show up.

Case Breakdown: A 70-year-old woman who was exposed during a summer vacation in Šibenik, and is currently in isolation at home. Three people in their thirties are contacts of infected patients, have mild symptoms and are being treated at home. They were already in self-isolation.
A 60-year-old man, a close family contact of an infected person, is currently asymptomatic. A minor, exposed during summer vacation on Pag, has mild symptoms and is being treated at home.
An additional 13 cases have been attributed to the county due to their official registered places of residence.

Unfortunately, one COVID-19 positive person, born in 1936, died at Pula General Hospital. According to initial reports, there are no risky contacts among healthcare professionals.

8:10 – Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac said that she expects that Austria could change its mind after they put Croatia on the epidemiological red list.
Austrians returning from vacation in Croatia must either show a current negative test or be tested within 48 hours.
Two-week quarantines for travelers from Croatia were previously introduced by Ireland and Norway, and Italy has ordered mandatory testing for everyone.
About 160,000 Slovenes are currently vacationing in Croatia. In Ljubljana, they believe that at least a third of infected returnees spent their summers in our country. The Slovenian government has announced that the deadline for their citizens to return from Croatia without going to quarantine will likely be Saturday or Sunday at midnight. However, the government has yet to make a final decision.
