Croatia COVID-19 Updates
Yesterday, at the press conference of the National Headquarters, it was announced that in the last 24 hours we have 208 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Croatia, which surpassed the record number of new cases in one day from Thursday, and two people died.

14:10 – Zadar County – 20
There are 20 new cases of COVID-19 in Zadar County. Most of them are young and middle-aged people born between 1979 and 2001, and contacts and movements are being verified since they have lived in several places. In three cases, these were family contacts. In a few elderly people, born between 1943 and 1949, the infection was discovered during routine testing at the Zadar General Hospital. The newly infected people are from the area of the City of Zadar (6), the City of Biograd na Moru (4), the City of Pag (1), and the municipalities of Privlaka (1), Stankovci (2), Kolan (1), Novigrad (3), Sveti Filip and jakov (1) and Pakostane (1).
There are 277 people in self-isolation, and self-isolation has ended for 4905. Since yesterday, the county has processed 147 COVID-19 tests.
A total of 6 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized in the COVID-19 ward of the Zadar General Hospital, of which 1 is on a ventilator.
In the past 24 hours, police officers of the Zadar Police Administration did not record any self-isolation violations.
13:30 – Dubrovnik-Neretva County – 10
“In the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, ten new cases of COVID-19 infection have been recorded in the last 24 hours. However, it should be noted that one of these cases involves a young woman residing in Zagreb, who has already left the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. .
As for the remaining nine cases, there are three young women and one middle-aged female, four young men and one middle-aged man.
Three of them reside in Zagreb, with two currently located in Dubrovnik and one in Ploče. Of the remaining people positive for COVID-19, one is from Dubrovnik, one from Metkovic, one from Janjina and three from Ploce.
It is important to point out that in Dubrovnik-Neretva County there is no hotspot or local transmission, because as of today, six cases were infected outside our county, two are contacts of positive people, and for two epidemiological processing is underway.
As of today, two people have recovered one from Ploče and one from Blato.
A total of 7248 tests have been analyzed since the beginning of the pandemic. One person positive for COVID-19 was hospitalized in OB Dubrovnik.
A total of 276 people are in self-isolation, and no violations of the measure have been recorded in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 50 violations of the self-isolation measure have been recorded.
13:06 – Međimurska County – 3
In the past 24 hours, 3 new COVID-19 cases were registered in Međimurje County. All three people spent their summers in Vodice, which the Civil Protection Headquarters has designated as a new hotspot.
The Civil Protection Headquarters of Međimurje County recommends everyone who was on vacation in Vodice and visited nightclubs to contact the Department of Epidemiology of Infectious and Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases of the Public Health Institute of Međimurje County for additional information and advice.
Regarding the border crossing regulations with Slovenia, Međimurje County is in the green zone, which means that at the moment there is no change compared to the current border crossing procedure.
So far, a total of 2504 tests have been processed for COVID-19.
13:05 – Krapina-Zagorje County – 3
In the past 24 hours, 3 new COVID-19 infections have been confirmed from Krapina-Zagorje County. The new patients have residences in Zlatar, Đurmanec and Zlatar Bistrica. The current number of active cases in the county is 10.
12:55 – Karlovac County – 7
In the last 24 hours, there are 7 new COVID-19 cases (out of 107 test results). There are 4 young people (3 women and one man), two middle-aged men and one older man. Two people are contacts of an infected person. The six mentioned people are from Karlovac.
One elderly male, who has permanent residency in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and is hospitalized in OB Karlovac, currently lives in Velika Kladuša in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
For the other 4 people, epidemiological processing is underway. A total of 120 people have contracted COVID-19 in Karlovac County so far. There are 122 people in self-isolation.
12:35 – Koprivnica-Križevci County – 0
“The Civil Protection Headquarters of Koprivnica-Križevci County informs the public that there have been no new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. All 38 COVID-19 tests are negative. The county reported a total of 108 cases since the beginning of the epidemic.
“Currently, there is one person undergoing home treatment, and another person who is statistically registered in the county is being treated in Split-Dalmatia County.”
11:48 – Bjelovar-Bilogora County – 3
There are three new cases of COVID-19 in Bjelovar-Bilogora County, the County Civil Protection Headquarters announced on Saturday.
The newly infected people are not contacts of infected persons in Bjelovar-Bilogora County, and an epidemiological investigation is underway.
There are now a total of five people infected with the COVID-19 in this county, and 13 people in self-isolation.
11:28 – Brod-Posavina County – 10
In the last 24 hours, ten (10) new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Brod-Posavina County.
The total number of infected persons residing in the Brod-Posavina County since the beginning of the epidemic today is two hundred and ten (210), while the number of active cases is thirty-five (35). The number of persons under self-isolation in the Brod-Posavina County is one hundred and twenty (120).
11:27 – Zagreb County – 9
According to the data of the Zagreb County Public Health Institute, there were 297 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the epidemic. Compared to yesterday’s data, there are nine more cases. There are currently 59 active cases in Zagreb County. So far, a total of 227 people have been cured and 11 have died.
11:26 – Požega-Slavonia County – 2
There are currently 7 active cases of COVID-19 in Požega-Slavonia County and all are in home isolation. There are 52 people in self-isolation, and a total of 4186 people have been tested since the beginning of the epidemic. The county performed 51 tests and 2 were positive.
11:16 – Varaždinska County – 3
There are three new cases of COVID-19 in Varaždin County. All are young people who returned from vacation. An elderly woman died.
11:09 – City of Zagreb – 47
A total of 47 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the City of Zagreb in the last 24 hours, and 314 active cases the “Dr. Andrija Štampar” Institute of Public Health reported on Saturday.
“In the past 24 hours, 432 COVID-19 tests were conducted. There are 47 new cases in the City of Zagreb. As a result, self-isolation orders were issued for 140 people,” reads the statement. .
Currently, there are 314 active cases and 719 people in self-isolation in the City of Zagreb.
Five new cases have a negative epidemiological history so far, 15 people have contacts with covid-19 positive people, and 19 newly infected people have been found to be infected in nightclubs and cafes during their vacation use.
Epidemiological treatment of four people is ongoing, while four infected people came from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Institute adds that all tested users and employees of homes for the elderly and infirm in the City of Zagreb are negative for COVID-19.
11:00 – Šibenik-Knin County – 19
“In the past 24 hours in the Šibenik-Knin County, eighteen people fell ill with the infectious disease covid-19 and one person from the Split-Dalmatia County who is currently staying in Rogoznica. Out of a total of 18 patients from Šibenik, 11, from Knin 3, from Vodice 2 and one person each from Kistanje and Bilice Today, there are 66 active cases of COVID-19 infection in our county, and two people are being treated for COVID-19 disease at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Šibenik Hospital. samples for testing for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
There are currently 289 people under health supervision and self-isolation measures, of which 287 are contacts of patients, and two people entered the Republic of Croatia from third countries and were given a 14-day quarantine measure. “
10:34 – Split-Dalmatia County – 35
Out of a total of 595 processed tests, there 31 new COVID-19 cases in Split-Dalmatia County: 23 from Split, 1 from Solina, 1 from Imotski, 1 from Ciste Provo, 1 from Podbablje, 1 from Sinj, 1 from Makarska, 1 from Omis and 1 from Dugi Rat.
There are also 4 people from other counties: 2 from Zagreb County, 1 from the city of Zagreb and 1 from Osijek-Baranja County. All of these patients were tested in Split.
Out of 31 new COVID-19 cases from Split-Dalmatia County, 6 are contacts of previously infected persons, while the other newly infected persons are being treated epidemiologically.
722 people are in self-isolation.
12 COVID positive persons are in hospital treatment at the Clinical Hospital Center Split, while 1 person is on a respirator.
10:21 – Virovitica-Podravina County – 0
Of 18 people tested in the last 24 hours, all were negative for COVID-19, according to the Civil Protection Headquarters of Virovitica-Podravina County. The county has 2,259 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Thirty-three (33) people have been infected with COVID-19. Of those, there is 1 active case, 31 patients have recovered, and 1 man has died.
10:20 – Istria County – 1
The Teaching Institute for Public Health for the County of Istria performed 234 COVID-19 tests. One (1) was positive.
“The patient was already in self-isolation and is a close contact of positive person,” said Dino Kozlevac, Chief of the Istrian Headquarters.
In the past 24 hours, two patients have recovered, and there are currently 20 active cases. There are 145 in self-isolation.
9:58 – Primorje-Gorski Kotar County – 2
In the last 24 hours in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, there are new 2 new COVID-19 infections, according to the Teaching Institute for Public Health. Both are young people, one is a returnee from abroad and has no symptoms, while the other person has mild symptoms and returned from a holiday in Dalmatia.
There are currently 26 active cases and 152 patients have recovered. There are 3 people are hospitalized at KBC, while all the others are in isolation at home/home treatment.
9:40 – Ivo Dujmić, Mayor of Opatija, is demanding that the Government and the Headquarters divide Croatia into epidemiological regions as soon as possible: red, orange and green. Istria and Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, which currently have the largest number of tourists in Croatia, cannot bear the consequences of bad epidemiological situation.
9:24 – Sisak-Moslavina County – 1
Sisak-Moslavina County reports 1 new COVID-19 case. The patient is from Hrvatska Dubica.
9:19 – Osijek-Baranja County – 10
In the last 24 hours, a total of 197 COVID-19 tests were processed in Osijek-Baranja County, and 10 were positive. Six new cases are from Osijek, and two are from Našice and Đakovo. Most of the new patients are young. The youngest is 14 and most are between 20 and 28 years old. One (1) patient from Našice is 42, and 1 from Đakovo is 83.
At the Clinical Hospital Center Osijek, there are 25 hospitalized COVID-19 patients, 4 of whom are on ventilators.
Self-isolation orders were issued for 70 contacts of patients, so a total of 242 people are currently in self-isolation.
9:10 – Gordan Lauc, who is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Government of Croatia, shared good news concerning COVID-19 on his Facebook profile yesterday.
9:00 – Vukovar-Srijem County – 5
In Vukovar-Srijem County, there are 5 new COVID-19 cases (4 from Vinkovci and 1 from Novi Jankovci).
