July 30, 2020 — There were 78 new reported COVID-19 cases in Croatia in the past 24 hours. There are currently 749 active cases. Three patients have died.

12:40 – A new case has been confirmed in Sisak-Moslavina County.
There is one new COVID-19 case in Sisak-Moslavina County,. The patient is a family contact of infected people from Petrinja.
Sisak-Moslavina County Civil Protection Chief of Staff Roman Rosavec said that health and socially responsible behavior – including wearing masks properly, disinfecting hands and mobile phones, social distancing and other recommendations during this epidemic are an integral part of life.
12:15 – 31 new cases have been registered in Vukovar-Srijem County.
In Vukovar-Srijem County, there are 31 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours (10 from Vinkovci, 5 from Cerna, 2 from Andrijaševci, 2 from Ivankovo, 3 from Nuštar, 2 from Otok, 1 from Posavske Podgajci, 1 from Tovarnik, 1 from Vođinci, 2 from Vrbanja, 1 from Županja, and 1 foreign citizen residing in Posavski Podgajci).
12:10 – There is a new case in Karlovac County.
“Yesterday a total of 67 people were tested for COVID-19: 57 tests in OB Karlovac and 10 tests in OB Ogulin. Of those tested, one person from Kupljenski (Vojnić municipality) tested positive.”
11:42 – In Šibenik-Knin County there are three new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. There is young male from Tribunj, who was in contact with a previously infected person; a younger female person from Primošten, who was exposed in another county, and a younger male person who resides in Šibenik and was in contact with a COVID-19 positive person.
We currently have 32 active cases of the disease, three of which are still being treated at the Department of Infectious Diseases at Šibenik Hospital, while the others have milder symptoms and are in self-isolation at home. As of yesterday, we administered 42 tests. A total of 63 people have become infected since the reemergence of the epidemic in June.
11:40 – According to the report from the Split-Dalmatia County; there are 17 new infections out of a total of 324 processed tests: 8 from Split, 3 from Imotski, 2 from Omis, 1 from Solin , 1 from Prološac, 1 from Runovići, and 1 from Otok. In addition to the 17 new cases, two people from the Dubrovnik-Neretva County tested in the county were positive.
Out of 17 the newly infected, 7 are contacts of previously infected people, while the other 10 are being treated epidemiologically. There are 568 people in self-isolation.
Fifteen COVID-19 positive patients are at the Clinical Hospital Center in Split. Two are on a respirators.
11:33 – There are 13 new cases in Zagreb. Dr. Zvonimir Šostar, Director of the Teaching Institute for Public Health Dr. Andrija Štampar, said that there are 174 active cases in Zagreb, and 452 people are in self-isolation.
11:22 – There is one new infection in Zagreb County. There are 49 active cases. So far, 185 people have recovered and 11 have died.
11:13 – There haven’t been any no new cases of COVID-19 during the last 24 hours in Varaždin County. Ninety-two tested were performed and were negative.
There are still 7 active cases of COVID-19 in Varaždin County. Two are being treated at the Varaždin General Hospital, and 5 have been isolated at home and are under health supervision. There are 27 people in self-isolation, of which 24 are contacts of infected people.
11:00 – There are no new COVID-19 infections in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County today. Five patients have recovered. Of 118 tests, all were negative.
There are 15 active cases and 135 recovered in the county. The KBC Hospital has two patients, while 13 are in isolation at home. A total of 152 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the county.
10:32 – There are no new COVID-19 cases in Brod-Posavina County. The total number of infections in Brod-Posavina County since the beginning of the epidemic is still 157, while the number of active cases is 14 (3 less than yesterday). There are 2 people hospitalized with moderate symptoms (same as yesterday). There are currently 68 people in self-isolation (5 less than yesterday).
10:10 – In Bjelovar-Bilogorski County, there are two new COVID-19 cases.
In the past 24 hours, 45 people were tested, two of which were positive. One new case is a close contact of another confirmed case, while the other was not in contact with any confirmed cases.
9:55 – There are no new COVID-19 infections in Zadar County, and eight people have recovered. There are currently 15 active cases. And 153 tests were performed yesterday.
Three patients are hospitalized in the COVID-19 ward of the Zadar General Hospital, and 127 people are in self-isolation.
9:45 – In Virovitica-Podravina County, there are two new COVID-19 infections. Nine people recovered. Two of the new patients became infected at a group gathering in a neighboring county. They are middle-aged and have mild symptoms. They are in self-isolation at home. There are currently 49 people in self-isolation.
9:20 – During the past 24 hours, 171 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 at the Institute of Public Health in Istra County. One was positive. This person is in self-isolation.
All tests of staff and residents from the Alfredo Štiglić Pula Home for the Elderly are negative.
Unfortunately, one COVID-19 positive person died at the Pula General Hospital. The patient, born in 1923, was a resident at the Atilio Gamboc Home for the Elderly and the Infirm in Umag and had several chronic diseases.
Nine patients have recovered and there are 269 people in self-isolation.
9:00 – In Osijek-Baranja County, 190 people were tested, seven of whom tested positive for COVID-19. There are four from the Osijek Branch and one each from the Beli Manastir, Našice and Valpovo-Donji Miholjac Branches.
There are currently 96 active cases in Osijek-Baranja County, of which 30 are hospitalized in the Osijek Clinical Hospital. Two are being treated at the respiratory center.
During the last 24 hours, two people died (born in 1935 and 1939) and both had significant comorbidities. Epidemiologists have put 34 contacts in self-isolation, so 295 people are in currently in self-isolation.
8:30 – For the twenty-second day in a row, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in Lika-Senj County.
A total of 30 people were infected with COVID-19, of which 29 recovered and one died. In the past 24 hours, 10 people were tested.
20 people are under active supervision/self-isolation. Police officers of the Lika-Senj Police Department checked the compliance of imposed COVID-19 self-isolation measures, during which there were no reported violations.
7:35 – Beroš explained who in Croatia should be the first to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Here is the list:
- People aged 50 years and older with an emphasis those 65 and over.
- Residents of nursing homes and institutions for the care of the chronically ill (regardless of age, including children).
- Patients with chronic diseases, especially heart and lung diseases, including children, and especially children with impaired lung function (cystic fibrosis, chronic asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia) and with congenital defects.
- Adults and children with chronic metabolic diseases (including diabetes mellitus), chronic kidney disease, hemoglobinopathies, neurological and neuromuscular diseases affecting respiration and immune system damage (including patients with malignancies, persons on long-term corticosteroid therapy, people with HIV infection, etc.).
- Children and adolescents from 6 months to 18 years of age on long-term therapy with drugs containing acetylsalicylic acid (to avoid Reye’s syndrome with influenza).
- Employees of homes for the elderly and institutions for the care of chronic patients, health professionals.
- In case a person for whom vaccination is recommended cannot be vaccinated due to his/her health condition (contraindication), people from the immediate environment should be vaccinated instead under the same conditions, e.g. home contacts, (including children) of caregivers.
7:30 – Minister of Health Vili Beroš announced yesterday that Croatia has reserved a million and a half doses of vaccines and signed a preliminary contract for procurement when the vaccine is available. The head of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, Krunoslav Capak, said on Wednesday that Croatia would be one of the first countries to receive it.
